Does anyone know why this might be happening all of a sudden? These black squares all fo a sudden popping up during the final rendering. 7920 Dell with NVIDIA RTX 05000

Here is another view of the finished render area. Can’t show more since it’s confidential.

Those black squares are mentioned in multiple topics but I think they should be fixed if you run the latest 2023.3 version. If you are, maybe you can try to update the graphics drivers. I can’t remember I did something to solve it but think it was gone with an update.

I did read a few of the previous articles and tried a few things but nothing has helped so far. I do have the latest KS version and most recent graphics driver. Never ran across this before now. Pretty frustrating for sure.

I’m not sure if possible but I’ve no problem taking al look if you can delete things which are confidential and still have the issue.

I’m not sure if it can help but there’s a cache file which is used with GPU renders called optix7cache.db it’s located in My Documents/Keyshot 12 you can try to close KS, rename that file and a new one will be created (it will take a bit of time if you switch to GPU since it generates that file again.

If you want to send me a file you can also use a private message and something like wetransfer.

Thanks allot Oscar. Let me look at it again and if for some reason it persists after I redo all the materials I will try the cache. Unless you recommend I do that regardless. If all else fails I can save the offending file and send over to you via secure link. Thanks again.

It doesn’t hurt I think to do it that’s also why I suggested to rename it, so you can always put the old file back as well. I was thinking hard if I did anything to resolve the black squares when I had them but nothing I can think off. I actually had them also appear in the preview but sometimes, like not consistent.

I ended up just starting a whole new scene. Maybe I just had too much going on. One of the Keyshot account managers reached out and I started a ticket so hopefully I get a definitive answer as to what caused it and how to prevent in the future. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks again.
